Installation of firefighting water pipelines in the tunnels of the Yerevan metro, which had started in 2024, was completed in October 2026.
A total of 16 km of non-corroding pipeline has been installed.
Since 2013 the metropolitan had not had such a pipeline.
The new water pipelines are intended not only for use for firefighting purposes, but also for carrying out washing and cleaning work in the tunnels, ensuring the possibilities for the maintenance and operation of the infrastructures.
