The Portuguese Football Federation suspended Cristiano Ronaldo for 30 days and fined him 255 euros for leaving the national team camp without permission.
The 41-year-old forward voluntarily left the national team on September 30 after head coach Jorge Jesus did not bring him onto the pitch in the Nations League match against Norway, which ended in a 2-1 victory for Portugal.
The federation’s disciplinary board found Ronaldo guilty of a disciplinary violation. However, the sanction will not affect his participation in the national team’s upcoming matches. Portugal will face Denmark on 14 November, when the suspension period will already have ended.
