The government of Armenia at its 1 October meeting approved the draft law “On the 2027 state budget of the Republic of Armenia.”
Under the draft, 2027 state budget revenues are projected at 3 trillion 603.8 billion drams, expenditures at 4 trillion 72 billion drams, and the deficit at 468.2 billion drams.
In 2026, 566 billion drams had been earmarked separately for the defence sector, while the 2027 state budget draft envisages allocating 613 billion drams to the defence sector.
Thus, within one year defence spending is envisaged to increase by 47 billion drams, or by about 8.3 percent.
