President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan held a phone conversation with President of the Republic of Lebanon Joseph Aoun. During the conversation the presidents touched upon the situation in the two countries and the region, stressing the continuation of dialogue in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
The importance of high-level reciprocal visits toward the further deepening of bilateral relations was emphasized.
During the conversation the importance of the upcoming UN Biodiversity COP-17 conference to be held in Armenia was underlined, reference was made to the agenda issues of the conference, and the need to deepen cooperation with the aim of confronting and overcoming global challenges was stressed.
