Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the “Armenia-United Kingdom Trade Conference 2026”, being held in Yerevan for the first time. He delivered remarks and welcomed those present, stressing that organizing the conference is logical after the signing of the memorandum on establishing a strategic partnership between Armenia and the United Kingdom in the past May.
“After establishing such a partnership, the primary question that arises for governments is the following: how to turn that political will, which is expressed by the adopted document or documents, into reality. And the most effective way to solve this problem is to make the political content discussed between governments part of everyday life. And such conferences serve that purpose: to fill the space opened by governments with real life”.
Turning to the economy and business, Nikol Pashinyan noted that experience shows that people not constrained by a certain framework of governmental or other official duties see opportunities and prospects better. In that context, Sarkisian hoped that the ideas raised during the conference discussions will move to the next stage of development and will become concrete agreements.
