Azerbaijan has not submitted a demand to extradite the Azerbaijani soldier found and arrested in the settlement of Shaki in Syunik Province. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said this in a conversation with the journalists.
“There is no demand for extradition from Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan has also initiated a criminal case and has issued a statement. Azerbaijan may also want to conduct an investigation in its own criminal case. If that soldier goes to Azerbaijan, he will not go to his home, that soldier will be tried in Azerbaijan if he appears there,” Pashinyan said.
The prime minister noted that the Azerbaijani soldier committed a crime on the territory of Armenia.
“He committed several crimes, but the culmination is shooting at our citizen. I am not saying let him go, let a verdict be reached, let it pass through three instances, I will open the verdict and see whether he committed a crime or not. I am saying he committed a crime,” the prime minister noted.
We remind that within the framework of criminal proceedings, citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan Nasimi Rahim Oghli Musayev has been arrested for a period of 2 months.
