In response to reports circulating in the press, the Football Federation of Armenia has stated that national team head coach Yeghishe Melikyan holds Armenian citizenship.
“He has an Armenian passport and a military booklet, which he received while serving in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. Melikyan has played 30 matches for Armenia’s national team,” the FFA said in its statement.
