Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said during a television broadcast that the country could organise presidential elections if Russia agrees to a 60-day ceasefire.
“Please, tell Putin. Give us two months, 60 days for a full ceasefire. 60 days, and we will organise elections,” Zelensky said, adding that, “with all respect toward President Trump,” it is the citizens of Ukraine “who must elect one or another leader.”
Asked why US President Donald Trump and American billionaire Elon Musk accuse him of continuing the war, Zelensky answered that Washington cannot “find the key to stopping Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
“Because stopping Putin is more difficult than pressuring others. Because it is easier to talk about prices and link them to Ukraine,” he added.
