Countering sanctions and economic pressure is currently a more important task for Iran than armed confrontation. This was stated by Iranian Majlis (parliament) Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
“Today the economic war is more important than military confrontation or cyber war,” Ghalibaf noted.
In his conviction, economic pressure is “the main axis of the war against Iran, and the main task of the country’s authorities is the adoption of correct decisions and stable state governance.”
As the speaker of Iran’s parliament noted, Iran “is thoroughly assessing past events. Both the government and the parliament are trying to manage the situation.”
“At present the most important priority when adopting all decisions is the welfare of Iranians and the armed forces,” Ghalibaf added.
According to him, “the state must ensure that normal living conditions of the population are the last thing to suffer from the pressures of war and the sanctions imposed against Iran.”
