Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that he is ready to agree to a freeze of the front lines of the Russian-Ukrainian war in order to stop the prolonged conflict.
Zelensky said this on the air of the “Fox & Friends” programme, answering the host’s question as to whether he would agree to sign a peace treaty that would leave the situation regarding territories as it is now. As of now, as a result of the war Ukraine has lost about 25 percent of its territory.
“Yes, now we must freeze the situation. I think this is the real way to end this war. We call it a ceasefire or a stop to the killings, as President Trump called it.
Freeze and stop. Of course, this is the minimum we need today from Russia. Then we will turn to Trump and the Europeans and will ask for security guarantees,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.
