According to Elchin Amirbekov, representative of the President of Azerbaijan on special assignments, the TRIPP project, implemented under the joint leadership of the United States and Armenia, envisages the creation of a transport link through the southern part of Armenia, which will connect the main territory of Azerbaijan with Nakhichevan, and then with Turkey and Europe.
The Azerbaijani official noted that thanks to TRIPP, Armenia will also gain access to regional pipelines and railways that previously bypassed its territory, gaining the opportunity to become a participant in interstate trade.
According to Amirbekov, the development of transport links is an important component of the peace process, and the strengthening of economic interdependence between Armenia and Azerbaijan can become one of the best guarantees of peace.
