Jordanian security forces have arrested the persons who carried out a terrorist act in an Orthodox church in Karak province.
“During an operation carried out in the early hours of Monday, three terrorists were found who on 23 October had attacked civilians inside the St. George church in the Hamud district,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement published on the X social network.
According to the statement, the three gunmen had taken shelter in one of the abandoned houses on the outskirts of the city of Karak and had refused to surrender, opening fire in the direction of the security forces.
“During the exchange of fire, all three criminals were injured and arrested,” the Interior Ministry noted.
