“All processes, including the opening of the border with Turkey, are near.”
Security Council Secretary Alen Simonyan stated this during a conversation with journalists and added that progress in all spheres is evident.
Answering the question as to why the Azerbaijani delegation is not participating in the COP17 events, Simonyan noted that at this moment there is no tension in the relations and none is expected either, not participating is the decision of the Azerbaijani side. Besides that, the sharpest talk has been for 30 years speaking about the neighboring country, voicing different assessments even now.
Simonyan also said that he has had the opportunity to tell Aliyev that the latter’s statements and words are received in a very sensitive way, such a conversation also took place with Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev.
