Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has stated that Armenian society must recognize the importance of peace for both peoples.
At a joint press conference with Foreign Minister of the Netherlands Tom Berendsen, Bayramov said. “Azerbaijan demonstrated its goodwill at the historic Washington summit. Our country is also taking unilateral steps so that everyone sees the real results of the peace process. But there are internal problems in Armenia. We are following the process. Armenian society must accept and understand that peace is an important issue both for them and for Azerbaijani society.
Ultimately, this process stems from the interests of both sides. That is why we are considering the possibility of holding these discussions.
Whenever constitutional changes are made in Armenia, the Azerbaijani side is ready to put an end to this issue. But we must wait for the result,” Bayramov said.
