Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced on November 1 that it recognizes the United Kingdom’s intelligence service, MI6, as well as the Royal Navy and the Air Force, as hostile and terrorist structures.
According to the statement of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, these steps are in response to Britain’s anti-Iranian actions over the past year, including supporting the U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran and the decision to include the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps under the British “State Threats” law.
Tehran maintains that the measures were adopted by decision of the country’s Supreme National Security Council with the aim of protecting national security and interests.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the decisions are based on international law and the principle of reciprocity, placing responsibility for their consequences on the British government.
