Zelensky: Ukraine Will Not Give Up Territories Under Russian Control

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Kyiv does not recognise the belonging of Crimea and the other Ukrainian territories under Russian control to Russia.

He said this during a visit to Turkey.

According to Zelensky, Kyiv’s priority at present is the establishment of a ceasefire along the line of contact, after which the remaining issues will be discussed.

He noted that the agenda of the peace talks may include an energy ceasefire, the cessation of military operations at sea and the exchange of prisoners.

Zelensky considered the main goal of a possible summit to be reaching a full and unconditional ceasefire, the creation of an international monitoring mechanism and the provision of security guarantees to Ukraine.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president had also stated his readiness to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey.
